A high-altitude training mask is a special type of mask that is worn during a workout to imitate a low-oxygen environment found in high-altitudes by restricting the flow of oxygen into your lungs. Thinner at higher-altitudes, making it more difficult to breathe and perform intense physical activity. The idea behind these masks is based on the results of athletes who have trained at high-altitudes, only to discover increased endurance and strength upon returning to normal altitudes due to the added “resistance” placed upon the muscular and cardio-respiratory systems.
The Training Mask 2.0 Elevation Training Mask is made with a neoprene sleeve and plastic valves, and comes with a set of training valves to simulate a variety of elevations from 3,000 feet through 18,000 feet.
